As a market leader in enterprise application software, SAP provides a fully integrated platform and is the basis for core operations at many companies. SAP can be used in the departments of purchasing, production, service, sales, finance and HR. The platform contains crucial data, applications and analytical tools to increase the efficiency of business processes to allow finance to lead the transformation to digital business. All teams within the finance organization will be impacted by the transformation towards digital and will have to rethink how they perform their functions. In SAP S/4HANA, working from a single source of the truth will allow for greater integration and collaboration among teams.
In spite of this importance, inefficiency, operational waste and complexity in SAP can threaten your ability to remain competitive. Process Mining gives insights on how to eliminate these operational gaps to unlock the execution capacity of your processes, so you can achieve optimal performance.
Maximize operational efficiency of your SAP processes
From Purchase to Pay (P2P) to Order to Cash (O2C), Process Mining helps you improve your SAP processes in all of the ways that matter to your business. SAP records all events throughout the entire process. From this data, Minit Process Mining recreates a map of the process to easily identify where mistakes occur, when they happen, which departments are involved, or which vendors/customers follow which process variations most frequently.
By discovering specific inefficiencies and bottlenecks in your P2P or O2C process, you can improve the cash flow of your company and safeguard its constant growth.
Purchase to Pay
Maximize operational efficiency
Conversion of paper based, error prone manual AP processes to automated processes with human ‘touches’ for exception management only.
Lower processing cost per invoice through a better invoice pre-approvals and use of electronic invoicing.
Increase profitability
Reduce unmanaged spending.
Implement controls across the enterprise on the number of ways purchases can be transacted.
Reduce supplier late payments penalties.
Compliance and risk mitigation
Automated process documentation and audit trails.
Eliminate supplier non-compliance to contract.

Order to Cash
Maximize operational efficiency
Reduced order cycle time.
Expose bottlenecks in your process to streamline the entire O2C cycle and maximize On-Time Delivery.
Identify the root causes of unwanted changes in your orders.
Cut down on inefficient process variations that slow you down.
Increase profitability
Optimized payment behavior and payment collection.
Improve important metrics or KPI’s like process lead times and cash flows.
Compliance and risk mitigation
Automated process documentation and audit trails.
Eliminate systems migration or consolidation risks though ultimate transparency.

SAP connector
A standard connector is available to analyze the extract, transform and load your SAP data automatically. The Process Mining software will set the encoding, the delimiter, and all the other parameters for a preview. You can scroll through and see if everything is recognized correctly and if the preview fits your needs.
With the standard SAP connector, we can extract the data from SAP systems:
- Extract data from the source SAP business systems and data interfaces (web service, flat files, database, etc.);
- Transform the data into event logs by combining it with a relevant data model;
- Enhance the event log with attributes needed for drilling down, filtering, and custom metrics calculations;
- And prepare data for loading into Process Mining software.
Besides the necessary case ID, activity ID, and timestamp, you can enhance your analysis with other types of attributes. These can be defined as event-level attributes (change value per event) or case-level attributes (having the same value for the whole case).
